Masters thesis "Chest of Friends" approaches the exhibition space as a site of arrival - a symbolic mountaintop where multiple narratives converge. Each object, sound, and image functions as a fragment of a personal or collective journey, carrying the traces of solitude and company, digital ghosts and tactile memories. Like a pilgrimage, the found materials and discarded devices arrive with clashing pasts - fragments of individual timelines, obsolete functions, and intimate histories - now reassembled in shared presence. The flag - raised atop the mountain - marks not victory, but convergence: the quiet, sacred moment when disparate experiences arrive together and speak at once.
This work was a part of "Your House has Cavities" - the degree show of the 2nd generation MA POST students at the Jānis Kuga house in Ikšķile, Latvia.
